A local human rights group has warned against the re-introduction of ethnic and religious dimensions in the 2011 general and presidential elections.
Rural Human Rights Activists Program observed in the 2005 election, politicians used ethno political ideology to win votes.
The Executive Director of the group Loma Baysah cautioned that ethnicity and religious intolerance undermine peaceful elections.
Mr. Baysah further cautioned politicians against divide and rule tactics and called on electorate to vote for candidates based on their platform and qualifications.
Meanwhile, Rural Human Rights has announced a two-day workshop for thirty student representatives in Bong County.
The workshop will help the students analyze the candidates and their platforms and introduce them to a non-violent approach in solving problems.
