Mr. Blair said most Governments usually put in place good policies but fail to effectively implement them.
The former British Prime Minister challenged President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf to learn from the mistakes of the past in order to keep on track.
Mr. Blair named infrastructural development and empowerment of the private sector as means of establishing job security.
He said when investors are attracted to the country the young people who make up the vast majority of the population will have jobs.
Responding, President Sirleaf thanked Mr. Blair for the visit and assured her Government will continue to tap on the expertise of the Ex-British Prime Minister.
Madam Sirleaf said Mr. Blair’s African Governance Initiative was helping with the implementation of plans being put in place by the Governance Commission.
Madam Sirleaf and Mr. Blair spoke Saturday at a joint press conference at the close of his two-day visit to Liberia.
