Nimba County Senior, and Standard Bearer of the National Union for Democratic Progress (NUDP) , Prince Y. Johnson has fired his running mate for the 2011 general and presidential elections for not visiting him during his illness.

Senator Abel Massalay was fired last week by Senator Johnson, for his continues refusal to visit him at his residence for reason he said best known to he (Abel Massalay).

The dismissal of Senator Massalay was acknowledged by Cornelius Port who is also a senior partisan of the NUDP, stressing disappointment in Senator Massalay’s behaviors, “He has even refused to answer the Standard Bearer (Prince Johnson) phone calls,” Port told journalists at the headquarters of their party in Sinkor.

Senator also alleged that his former running mate was refusing to answer his phone calls and has also changed his phone number without the simplest courtesy to members of the party, and executives.

He further disclosed that at the party’s convention slated for February 14, 2011, a determination will be made about the political future of his former running mate.

In a related development, Senator Johnson is expected to leave the Country for health trip in China.
